Season 18 in Division 2.1

Gallera FC - here we go again... the new season begins. Let's give some highlights to start:

1.) New Tactics and Formations:
The Trophymanager Leauge just got better. Now managers can have a "flexible" formation. for us this means players are not fixated on a fixed position, and managers can make players happy because they can now play on their desired area. a regular 4-4-2 can now be tweaked where wingers, defenders and midfielders can position themselves based on FP. Gallera FC won 5-1 in the thier first match using the flexible formation.

2.) Resignations:
M. Hassan of Malaysia submits his resignation this season 18. He has already played for numerous clubs in Malaysia, Brazil, and West Indies (Carribean). As the most experienced of all players, M Hassan was appointed Captain and made his mark on the Left Midfield. He was the first player to score on a freekick, during the 5-1 match, the 3rd league fixture of Season 18.

3.) Young Blood
Look out for Beltran (DC), Aranguren (DR), Rodriguez (DL) and Seco (F) this season 18. Seco has just scored his first goal this season 18. Aranguren and Rodriguez already made appearances last season.

4.) Twin Trophy
The Twin Trophy of Division 3 is main highlight this season.

Season 17 has started

Gallera FC - Season 17 has started and the club has just been relegated to division 3. new sponsor Tribal Wars online game has been chosen as the new sponsor. now the kit has a large "bird" logo in it. As a start the Team is at the top of the table. hopefully we will regain our "glory days" and return to ANG LIGA. It has been a journey from the Team's first Trophy in Division 3 to its qualification in ANG LIGA. and recently, just last season, we were lucky to have reached the semifinals of the Philippine CUP.

A new generation of players will now start to rebuild the club. Gallera FC's best Central Defender Alfredo Segura has just left professional football. Fidel Uria "the set piece maestro" also a Central Defender (but a DMC in FP) is also announcing his retirement. 3 starters are now leaving the Team since its foundation. These are:

1. Alvaro Morales - The Highest ASI player from the tryout squad (first set players of the team). He was a DC by training (FP) but was a good finisher, he has Captained the Team during its first seasons (season 11 and 12) and has played several positions such as Forward, Central Midfielder, Central Defensive Midfield and Left Wing. He has never played in Central Defense even though his Defensive skills are average but his attacking skills were above average. This player has been transfered twice and is currently playing in Europe (Macedonia).

2. Alfredo Segura - The best example of low ASI - high rating player. This player is the heart of Central Defense and was valuable until his day of retirement. played as a Central Defender during his playing days.

3. Fidel Uria - The "the set piece maestro" has just announced his retirement. A DMC in training but is more effective as a Central Defender. Fidel Uria in Right and Alfredo Segura in Left is Gallera FC's top choice of Central Defense. This player has assisted a lot of goals in free kicks. though he lacks technique in scoring free kicks.

also to mention some fringe players who left the club:

R. Pastor (DC) and C. Domiguez (OMC) has also their fair share of contribution to the team.

End of Season 16

Gallera FC - The Manager has been out for a week and had just missed the season closure. We have to wait for the start of next season to gather updates. The Div2.1 League was a failure, but results is still unknown. I will just update the CUP round, for the team have reached the Cup Semifinals for the first time... but results after this match and the rest is still unknown. As promised, updates will be posted when the next season begins.

Player to watch: After a bidding war, Gallera FC acquired a new striker. Although he has low ASI, "Chebaiki" the White Morrocan has proved himself and has already scored twice.

As of this season, 2 players have announced their retirement.

First to announce is 32 year old C. Dominguez. He was an important player of the team and is regarded as a substitute for Offensive Midfield roles. C. Dominguez is Gallera FC's highest rated player for positioning. He has contributed 3 Goals and 3 Assists in his entire career for the club.

Second to announce is Central Defender Alfredo Segura. He is known to be the best Central Defender to have played for the club until this season. He can still pound opponents in his 36 years of age, and currently is the oldest player in the squad. He posses above average ratings in all skills required of a central defender, with only his strength as his weakness. This player is one of the best in the business, considering he has a very low ASI of 2,499 as of this season.

so as for this day, an "ALL TIME" list is created for the club's players.

Back in Division 2

Were back at Division 2. Nothing to celebrate but there is nothing to be ashamed at. ANG LIGA has been great and the team have given thier best and matched the top teams of division 1. Sadly, the problem was injuries and bans where the squad lineup has been depleted. Gallera FC was just 1 spot away out of the qualification zone, but then again the team failed to win it's qualification match.

Former Gallera FC Captain and former highest ASI player Alvaro Morales is transfered to TSV libang, coincidentally this was the team that beat us in ANG LIGA qualification. Now Morales is still playing in ANG LIGA.

New Signing Malaysian Player Muhammed will now start this season 16 and will patrol the Left Midfield, a position once held by Alvaro Morales during season 14(DIV2) and 15(DIV1). More reports on this player as the season progress.

Outgoing: Former Team Captain Alvaro Morales is now on transfer list. He is approaching retirement and has said he wanted to play in abroad, Europe especially. with an ASI of 10,000+, a lot of clubs might be interested.

When his transfer is complete, another report will be made. The whole team wishes him well.

New Signing: Defensive Midfielder Barrera is Gallera FC's new signing. At 27 years of age, Barrera has extensive experience in ANG LIGA as he was a former player of MAAP and Binmaley Fisher. He has recently been awarded man-of-the-match in our latest league game.

League and Cup Matches

Mandaue City - The Gallera squad are on their busiest week starting today. The Gallera FC had a win in their 1st round of the Philippine Cup. This is the first time the squad have reached round 2 of the cup. While training session is scheduled every Tuesday, Wednesday is League match then Thursday is Cup match second round then another League match this Friday.

Although this setup is tiresome for the manager, some players are happy about it because this gives them more chance to play. With some players injured and banned, the squad will use almost all its senior players for this week.

Here are some highlights with significant players for this season.

Angel Jose "Milan" Barros: Noted for its best productivity.

F. "Belgian Import" Devinck: The "no-nonsense striker" from Europe.

Gallera FC Enters Ang Liga

(Manila, Philippines) - Gallera FC qualifies for the Philippine Premier League aka "ANG LIGA" in Trophy Manager Online. The team won in stunning fashion via penalty shoot out against Sandigan FC of Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

It was a hard fought battle in the pitch, with neither team willing to let their opponents score. Chances were plenty but goals would not just come as easily. The squad was faced with injury problems, with first choice set piece taker Fidel "Ramos" Uria and Midfield Goalscorer Angel "Milan" Barros out of the line-up. Team Captain Ceasar "dakog lawas artista sa bisaya" Parra leads the back four but was taken out for injury around halftime. Then it was scoreless until the 120 minute.

Penalty shootout as it came. A German once told me when we were watching the 2006 World Cup Final against Italy and France, right before the game started he said, "I think this will come out to penalties". Then after 120 minutes he was right... It was down to penalties, then I said to him "You wer'e right", then he replied "I hate It... gives me a heart attack". Hahaha found it funny cause he was an old guy. But for me, the penalty shootout is the greatest spectacle for a match decider.

Back to the game... It was a classic. Ayala Alonzo did not expect it again. The team's first penalty shootout was a disaster. It also happened this season as Gallera FC lost against a 3rd div team in the Cup via penalties. But this time it was different and yet it's time to make it right.

The shootout was filled with action. The Gallera FC Players hammered the goals. Goalkeeper Pedro Guijarro made the most important saves of his career. But the stunner was from new signing Fabrice "Belgian Boy" Devinck. He looked at the right post... then hit it to the left, sending the keeper to the wrong way. Pure Magic! Ayala Alonzo was impressed.

Here are some of the player's interviews about this season:

Top Scorer P. Suarez - This has been an good season for me as I have the highest productivity and goals for the team but we were very close to A. Gurruchaga. He also had a fantastic performance this season.

Highest Rating S. Guzman - Ayala Alonzo said that I am the future of this club... and it seems the future is almost here. I hope we get into the Ang Liga because... I think we might be in the no. 2 spot where 2 teams above us are banned and inactive.

New Signing F. Devinck - So far so good. I hope we will have a good season next year. Maybe I would be working up front with one of the "parez". This would be exciting to do.

Season 14 Analysis

Gallera FC TM Manager Ayala Alonzo gives his insights on this season.

- First, I would like to congratulate the team for a goalscoring performance. scoring 5 and 4 goals in match is great achievement. some players also got hat-tricks which I also give credit.

It ain't over till the last match of the league, but sadly there will be no trophy this season. The team give out some solid performance, especially on the first games of the league where we were no.1 at the table, but we did not beat the teams who are now on top today. This is very important in league tournaments.

Injuries also contribute to our Title hopes, by not fielding our strongest side in important matches.

My concerns for next season are: 1.) Defense 2.) Midfield : in this I may not get into details

Hello Everyone! this is just a season report.

The Div2-2 TM Philippine League has been a success so far for our club. The season is halfway and hopefully we will finish on top at the end.

These are the highlights:

1. Gallera FC has the highest total goals scored in Div2-2

2. Highest Table place was no.1 (now we are still at no.2 just a point behind the leader)

3. Lowest Table place was no. 4, when the team struggle to win consecutively

4. Two Players got a Hat Trick, namely Pedro "The Jeweler" Suarez and Angel "Milan" Barros

5. A record of the club's highest score in a League match. 6 players having a goal a piece, these were Suarez, Barros, Gurruchaga, Espadas, Parra and Morales.

(Gallera de Mandaue) - Gallera FC stays at no 6. at the Philippine 2.2 division. The entire season was big challenge to manager Ayala Alonzo, as there were high expectations for a silverware. The Team never got to a winning form and lost all its chances to become a champions. Here are some inputs from the players themselves.

The division 2 teams have solid defenses, this was the reason why our strikers have a hard time scoring goals. Firing from long range seemed to do the trick... but it was too late to catch up on top of the table. - No. 9 Offensive Midfielder A. Gurruchaga

Our defense did good, as we managed only 7 loses in the entire season. we could have finished at least third but the tactical fix was already late as it came on the last month. - No. 2 Defensive LeftBack and Team Captan C. Parra

(Mandaue City, Cebu) - The Gallera FC Squad looks gloom, with most of its games ending in a draw. The 2nd division proved to be a challenge and goalscoring is in a drought.

The squad hopes to survive and bounce back on the coming days.

A lot of changes are ongoing for the club. First, the Club Organization is now legitimate. Gallera FC was built on illegal connections, but now all network connections are of legal status. Second, The Club is undergoing expansion projects from Second Division revenues. We hope these investments will return in big time. And last, The Club is signing on promising youth players, ready to be the next generation Roosters.

(GALLERA DE MANDAUE) - The Gallera FC squad are on practice and preparing for thier first game in the second division. They have returned home together with its 2nd trophy in Online Football. The TM 3rd Division Champions Cup now stands beside the BGLIGA Philippine Champions Cup at the Gallera Stadium Hall of Honors.

The Gallera Team returned home & were paraded by the Mandauehanons. Mandaue FC BGLIGA players Adrianne Pena, Ross Washington & Enrique Gonzales also joined the parade.

I wish to play in TM, but we are under contract in BGLIGA. Besides most of us are already 40's and playing in BGLIGA is just for fun. - Addrianne Pena, Manduae FC Top Goalscorer in consecutive seasons.

Gallera FC unveiled it's new kits for TM season 13 during the awarding in Mandaue City Plaza. 24GOAL sponsorship has also its contract renewed. The Brazil NT kit that the Squad used during its last match in season 12 will now be in the Hall of Honors together with the 2 trophies.

Gallera FC wins its 1st TM Trophy

(Via Satellite) - Gallera FC clinched thier first Trophy in TM Leauge. The club made it as champions in Division 3 G4, with a needed win in the last League game to secure the top table spot.

The Squad came on the field with thier "Brazil NT" kits. The Brazil NT play is adopted by manager Ayala Alonzo and was very effective for the players.

The match opener was by ZAX Corporation on the 41'. A bewildered roosters defense created a Goal by A. Ortiz in the box. But it was level on 43' as C. Parra made his way past M. Panadero and drove the ball straight into the net from 30 meters. A clean header from P. Suarez then sealed the game on 55'. But Pedro Guijaro was the Gallera FC Hero and Man Of The Match, as he made critical saves earning a world class performance from the TM League FA.

Pedro (Guijaro) has quick reflexes and has an eye for attack, that's why he is our first choice keeper. Ceasar (Parra) also did a good job in midfield and scored the equalizer, I think this is his prefered position although he is a defender by training. On the verge of Championship

(MANDAUE CITY, CEBU) - The sabongeros are on a uproar as Gallera FC clinch the top spot of the Division 3 G4 Table. The local squad celebrated as they win 3-1 against Brent1234. Chickens were seen flying as there were thorwn by the supporters.

"The cockfights were definetly suspended. It was all football that day. we never expect to be at the top of the table" said a by a passerby off to work in one of Cebu City's Call Centers

"The boys give it thier best, they did great even without my leadership in midfield. at least I get some rest & enjoyed the game at the VIP room" by Alvaro Morales, who was suspended from a previous game.

The "Parez Strikers" delivered for Gallera FC as Suarez scored the opener in the 21' & Alvarez followed up with a double in 47' & 49', just 2 minutes apart. The game has also seen the action of "Nuno sa Punso" Perez. He is Spanish and plays for Ledros of La Liga Primera Division in Spain. This young athlete was a sought after player by many clubs in Europe, but the Gallera Boss got this guy for a fee of 20.5m. He is the first foreigner to play for the club, as he came on as a substitute for Fidel Uria on 83'. He has played once as a starter in a previous game.

"I am so happy as I get a chance to win a championship here in the PI, I was only in the youth squad when Ledros won thier titles in segunda division. I also would like to thank the Manager for selecting me in the first team. It's great here in Cebu and i'm starting to learn bisaya." by Nuno Perez.

"The Sqaud came back from being near the relegation zone at the beginning of the season, to become title conteders in the last match of the leauge. Most of our players are just local mandauehanons who just love to play football, in result they sometimes get injured & recieve cards easily. These guys are hard at work and they deserve a shot at this championship. I said to the Boss that I will not disapoint to deliver some winnings, and a championship wasn't even they even they expect." by the Club Manager Ayala Alonzo.

Wednesday will be the most awaited match in the Club's history. The Gallera FC Squad are just one win away on thier first Title in Trophy Manager Leauge.

Foundation Day:

Through illegal connections, the club owners founded GALLERA FC on June 3, 2008. Club operations in bulgaria now shifted in denmark via virtual & illegal connections.

The Club gets its name from the Gallera De Mandaue Cockfight Arena, since most of its fans are "sabongeros". These are still the loyal fans from the days when Mandaue FC won the Philippines Championship in bgliga at the Mandaue Coliseum.

The Manager:

Appointed Manager Ayala Alonzo came to the Club in a bad shape, as he was kidnapped to assume his position. But for the love of the Beautiful Game he transformed the Club as it is today, and promised to rid of it's gangster mentality on the day he aquirred his FITA license on June 27, 2008

Captain Alvaro Morales is the Club's most famous player. We remember during the height of his popularity when he was the assigned as the lone striker and indeed delivered a single goal to win a 1-0 match.

At last a online football game I dream of

It's called Trophy Manager

Here's whats good about it.
.....It's hard to tell, It's 90% of what I have imagined.
It's downside is that it is a little more complicated than bgliga.
a good game requires a little complications, depending on what game you like playing

I guess I'll stop making this online football game hobby.
all Ideas I have is already found in Trophy Manager.

I haven't started playing it yet.
I read Its rules & It's all clearly explained & the game is well designed.

I think this is the endroad of this blog. I already found what I have been looking for.
a "close to reality online football game"

Rules:
1. the player ( as a coach ) will setup its teams gameplay
2. gameplays can be changed only at the beginning of each quarter of the total football matchup time.
3. the time frame is simulated & is scaled down from the original 90 minutes ( you only play up to 2-3 min in every match )
4. the game runs automatically every quarter.
5. In-game commentaries are given during the running game, this commentaries reflect your gameplay & the opponent's gamplay
6. winning the game depends on how the "player/coach" makes his gameplay against his opponent ( in 0.3, the opponent is computer)
7. mastering the gameplay settings will make you a success in this game
8. "how to play" is easy, mastering the gameplay tricks needs a little figuring it out
9. a team will have its own playing style & identity, depends on the coach, & Its selected training for its players

here are its features.

Details will follow after the official release.
I still have to do some tweaks, testing, and maybe even gather test datas, or discover bugs

I have registered to this game & started playing today.

I hope this game meets my expectations....

here are some of my comments about www.bgliga.com
GOOD:
- the display. it has cool layout, colors, pics & flash scripts
- game settings
- information displays

NEGATIVES
- a little complicated
- game results are automatic
- games are automatic
- flash animations of the Field is not so good

.... yet these are only my first impression comments, I still have to learn more from the game.

Here's the difference from Football by Quarter Online.
1.) complicated aspects are encapsulated.
2.) a time delay commentary, thus building excitement, just like a regular football match.
3.) both players are online & can change in certain periods of time.
4.) scoring is regulated just like a real football match.

On the Next Step

After the release ver0.1 in C, here is the next steps.

1.) release of 0.2 ( additional features for ver0.1)
2.) code transfer to JSP ( i have to start from zero yet...)
3.) blog updates :)

about the code transfer to JSP... here's a bit of my background as a programmer.
- ver0.1 was released in C because this is my recent work project ( embedded, microcontrollers).
this is the development environment setup I have right now.
- I have tried OOP programing in C++ & Java.
- I have not yet tried a web programing project or code from scratch.
- I have tried on JSP only on a training seminar.
- I just started doing my research on JSP. And if JSP can create "football by quarter online",
by using Java codes, & a its good web application, then this might be release 0.3 or 0.4
- I still have to setup my JSP environment.

any comments & suggestion about starting to transfer this project to JSP just add a comment.

here is the player's line-up screenshot with skills & team game play settings.
this appears after the team setup screen just before the match up game begins.
players name's are omitted, because there from a real football club.
just to be safe.

New title & first trial release 0.1

The new title is now "Football by Quarter Online".

Also the first 0.1 trial version is released.
Here are its details:

1.) code in C compiled in DEV C++ (by Bloodshed Software) ver 4.9.9.2
2.) supports basic matchup functuion.
3.) also supports team setting matchup bonus.

limitations:
1. ) default opponent setting in the entire matchup.
2.) one player only vs. the computer opponent.

Here's a preview for release 0.2
1.) game has fouls , with free kicks, & penalty shootouts.

about this project, i have created a "matchup" code in C. it is yet to be ported into web programming and the code is yet in its basic matchup level. i will update when the second level matchup version is created

I forgot...
one feature of this game is good game balance.
* any low performing club in real life may defeat any championship club in this game concept
* the game is based on tatic selection & not on real life player ratings
* although real life club & player ratings may be incorporated in the game design

Football Quarterly is an Online Multiplayer Football Fantasy Game
- It is only a game concept i have created. it is yet to be realized

* Football Fantasy Game
* the "player manager" can select from any clubs from
: English Premier League
: Spanish Primera Liga
: Italia Serie A
: German Bundesliga
: and many more top flight club football from europe,asia,south america
* the player manager can select the team's
1.) formation
2.) individual skill rating
3.) player bouns skill rating
4.) game tatics
5.) attack style
6.) defence style
- some of this gameplay settings can be changed 3 times during the online game
- your opponent also does the same
* Fast Text Based Game
* Quarterly tatical desicions are made during the entire game
* both players must be online
* 1 online game requires 4 gameplay changes (hence quarterly)
* game highlights are displayed in every quarter
* game statistics are displayed after the 1st half & end game

*** the game winner is decided on who as the best suited:
"players skill", "tactic", "attack", "formation", "defence"
against the opponent. which is changed 3 times every end of quarter.
( the first setting is used during 1st quarter gameplay)
